What it does

Far-infrared wavelengths penetrate 3–4cm below the skin surface, elevating core temperature and triggering heat shock protein production that primes cells for accelerated repair.

Heat stress that builds instead of breaks.

  • Triggers HSP (heat shock protein) production for cellular repair
  • Cardiovascular conditioning comparable to moderate-intensity exercise
  • Deep tissue relaxation and reduction in chronic pain
  • Promotes heavy metal excretion through sweat
  • Improves sleep onset and overall sleep quality
The science

Unlike traditional saunas, far-infrared energy is absorbed directly by body tissue rather than heating the air. This enables therapeutic temperatures with deeper penetration at lower ambient heat, and a more tolerable session experience.

Who it's for
01

Chronic pain and tension

Far-infrared heat penetrates deep into tissue — reaching the layers where conventional heat cannot and where most chronic tension lives.

02

Athletes managing training load

Heat stress functions as cardiovascular conditioning at near-zero orthopedic cost. An effective training stimulus when you cannot run or lift.

03

Sleep and stress management

The core temperature drop after a sauna session is one of the strongest biological sleep-onset triggers available without medication.

Session timeline
01
Warm-up
Core temperature rises gradually. Use the first 10 minutes to breathe and decompress — the therapeutic work starts soon.
02
Threshold
Sweating begins. Far-infrared energy is now absorbing at full depth — 3 to 4 centimetres below skin surface.
03
Deep work
Heat shock protein production triggered. Muscle tension releases progressively. The uncomfortable part of sauna is behind you.
04
End phase
Stay only if comfortable. Exit at any point — the benefit curve flattens significantly past 45 minutes.
05
Cool-down
Rehydrate immediately — at least 500ml. Avoid cold immersion for 20 minutes post-session to preserve the thermal benefit.

Frequently asked
Traditional saunas heat the air (80–100°C), which heats your body surface. Infrared heats your body tissue directly at lower ambient temperatures (45–60°C) — deeper penetration, more tolerable experience.
