Responsible party

Botthms (Pty) Ltd, Randpark Golf Club, Randburg, is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and at the hub, as defined by the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Purpose of processing

Personal information is processed to deliver booked services, manage memberships and payments, communicate about your bookings, and meet legal obligations. Health-related information you choose to share for safety screening or assessments is processed only with your consent and only for delivering the relevant service.

If you use THE READ, our recovery chat, the conversation — which may include health-related information you choose to share — is processed and stored only with your consent: to give you recovery guidance, improve the tool, and, if you save your results, to follow up. You may withdraw this consent at any time. THE READ provides guidance only and does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Operators and cross-border processing

Some processing is carried out by operators on our behalf — including hosting, email delivery, payments, and, for THE READ, an AI guidance provider (Anthropic). Where an operator processes personal information outside South Africa, this is done with your consent and under appropriate safeguards, consistent with section 72 of POPIA.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to be notified when your personal information is collected, to access it, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za).

Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to secure personal information, and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
